2026 Basilone Parade Weekend Schedule

Join us for a full weekend of events that commemorate Sgt. Basilone’s service while bringing the community together through tradition, reflection, and shared appreciation for those who have served our country.

Saturday - September 20th

Kick off Parade Weekend with the annual Basilone Foundation 5K Run. Participants of all ages and experience levels are invited to run or walk in tribute to Sgt. Basilone and in support of the Foundation’s mission. The event promotes health, community engagement, and remembrance while honoring the enduring spirit of service that defines this special weekend.​

Basilone Foundation 5K Run

  • 1 PM

Sunday - September 21, 2025

Mass at the Church of St. Ann

  • 10:30 AM

    • Parade Day begins with a commemorative Mass at the Church of St. Ann, offering an opportunity for reflection and gratitude as the community gathers to honor Sgt. Basilone and all service members who have sacrificed in defense of our nation.

Raritan Public Library Historical Displays

  • 10:30 AM

    • Parade Day begins with a commemorative Mass at the Church of St. Ann, offering an opportunity for reflection and gratitude as the community gathers to honor Sgt. Basilone and all service members who have sacrificed in defense of our nation.

Basilone Parade

  • 1:00 PM

    • ​The annual Basilone Parade steps off at 1 PM, featuring veterans organizations, marching bands, community groups, first responders, and honored guests. The parade celebrates patriotism, unity, and the enduring connection between Sgt. Basilone and the town he proudly called home.

Ceremony at the Basilone Statue

  • Approximately 2:15 PM (Immediately Following the Parade)

    • Following the parade, attendees are invited to gather at the Basilone Statue for a commemorative ceremony honoring Sgt. Basilone’s heroism and legacy. The ceremony includes remarks, tributes, and moments of reflection recognizing the sacrifices made by members of our armed forces.
